Welcome

So this is my traditional welcome post, welcoming you all to the wonderful world of Headshot, a video games blog run by me, Hazzard. Or Hazzard1988 as I am sometimes forced to be called. I’ve been gaming since I was God-only knows how young and it’s the one hobby that I’ve continually taken part in since my inception within it. So you could say that I’m fairly well versed in the language of the video game geek. Go me. My experiences in gaming began back in the day when my Grandparents bought me a Sega Master System with Alex Kidd in Miracle World built in and Sonic 2 to go alonside it. Nope, not the insanely awesome Sonic 2 on the Mega Drive, but the pretty awful version on my aforementioned new console. But to me, currently in the process of losing my gaming cherry, it was a quality experience. And thus my geekdom began.

I wont elaborate on the entire story in my development within the world of video games, because death by boredom isn’t something the average human seeks to experience, but they have always been one of my many passions. Although this blog may not have the instant news bulletins of others or the shocking reports of some, it will always have a personal touch.

Only recently have I been able to afford to purchase my own games regularly; when I was growing up I was pretty much resigned to the fact that they were luxeries I received at birthdays and Christmas. Getting a (crap) job recently has allowed me to buy a ny games I want and this luxery has given me the ability to write about my experiences within these fantasy realms as any regular gamer with no links to the industry. We poor souls don’t get free advanced review copies. We actually have to wander down to the shops and hand over our hard earned cash to get our games. And it’s not something we take lightly. My point exactly? Empathy.
