My Gaming
This is just a relatively quick blog on what’s going on in my gaming world at the moment.
I’ve pretty much in the process of playing three games: Guitar Hero III, Devil May Cry 4 and Lost Odyssey.
Click for more after the break.
Guitar Hero III: I’ve killed this game in normal difficulty, I’m just trying to get the hand of using all five guitar buttons on hard. I’ve done nine songs so far on it, but on some I definitely scraped through on the fact I can play reasonably well with the first four buttons. I just suck when it comes to moving down the fret to use the orange and back up to the green. Ah well, I’m sure I’ll get the hang of it eventually. It’s definitely a bigger step up from normal to hard than it is from easy to normal
Devil May Cry 4: I completed Son of Sparda yesterday without too much difficulty. I mean, it wasn’t really easy, but I had a few devil stars and enough experience that I managed to get through it. Stupid Sanctus at the end always pisses me right off. That’s three difficulties done then – Human, Devil Hunter and the aforementioned Son of Sparda. I had a quick go on Heaven or Hell, which is a one hit kill mode – on both yourself and the enemies, and it’s kinda fun, but not exactly challenging.
“Hello Berial.”
BANG!
“Bye Berial.”
Lost Odyssey: I originally had no interest in purchasing this game, but after watching my step-brother play a bit on Blue Dragon (the developers, Mistwalker’s, previous release on the Xbox 360) I realised how much I really enjoyed playing Japanese RPGs. I’ve completed Final Fantasy VII, VIII and nearly IX and then X on the PS2 and it had certainly been a while since I had played one. So yeah, I boiught Lost Odyssey the day after release and I haven’t regretted it. Some of the reviews I’ve read have marked it down for it’s archaic and old-fashioned method of doing things, but I love it. So, to put it simply, if you like Japanese and/or turn based RPGs, buy this game!
